March Community Highlights

Spring is in full bloom — and so is the spirit of our Abide team! This month, our caregivers and regional staff spread joy across assisted living communities in Waycross, Tifton, and the Griffin-LaGrange area. From balloon games and ice cream sundaes to pizza parties and flower arrangements, our team showed up with heart. Take a look at some of the wonderful moments we shared with residents and the communities we serve.

Our Waycross team brought some St. Patrick’s Day cheer to the memory care residents at Lakeside Assisted Living! Shonna Denson, Operations Assistant, and Ashley Elwell, Regional Administrator, led a lively balloon swatting game that had residents laughing and active. Each resident also enjoyed a festive St. Patrick’s Day drink and cookie — a sweet way to celebrate the season.

We’re so proud of our client, Walter Jardine, who was recently honored at the Douglas Chamber for his years of dedicated work and service throughout the Douglas community. Walter — a talented photographer who also devoted countless hours to transporting students to and from their events — was celebrated with the recognition he truly deserves. At Walter’s personal request, his caregiver Naomi was by his side for this special evening. Moments like this remind us why we do what we do.

Evangela Hampton, Regional Administrator for our Tifton location, had a wonderful afternoon at Maple Court Assisted Living, treating residents and caregivers to ice cream sundaes! The smiles say it all — this sweet outing was a big hit all around.

Evangela wasn’t done yet! She headed over to Cypress Pond Assisted Living for an afternoon full of fruity drinks, cake pops, and a rousing game of Family Feud. Residents brought their competitive spirit and had a blast — we can only imagine the friendly debates that took place!

Pizza, people, and pure fun! Alana Salter, Community Relations Manager, joined forces with Rodnelle (Activities Director) and Portia (Assistant to Activities) to host a Pizza Party for residents at The Canopy at Westridge in Henry County. Good food and great company — a winning combination!

Spring has officially arrived at Poplar Creek Assisted Living in LaGrange, Georgia! The Abide team stopped by for a beautiful afternoon of flower arranging and relaxing on the front porch — enjoying the warm breeze and good conversation. We love seeing our clients and caregivers slow down and savor these simple, joyful moments together.

Every visit, every smile, and every shared moment is a reminder of what Abide Home Care is all about — showing up with compassion, connection, and care. We’re grateful for the incredible communities we serve and the dedicated team members who make these moments possible each and every month.
